RPE Origin, formerly Red Pill Email, the email-first digital marketing agency, is celebrating 20 years of serving enterprise clients with email leadership services and helping the email industry evolve the channel into a revenue and engagement powerhouse.
Today, the company is a full-service, vendor-agnostic agency, staffed with experts in email marketing and CRM, strategic planning; ESP research, selection and migration management; design and production; and AI enablement.
But it began in 2005 when founder John Caldwell saw email marketers struggling to make sense of the ever more complex field of email and marketing technology. He created Red Pill Email, which quickly became the industry expert for its comprehensive reviews and assessments of technology platforms and vendors and guiding marketers in their technology choices.
“Twenty years ago, I could only dream of the kind of success we have had,” Caldwell said. “We started small, but we have redefined the space through our thought leadership and groundbreaking strategies. For me and many of our team members, email is our life’s work, combining years of email-specific expertise. We love our work and our client-partners, and we have a great time doing it.”
In 2020, Red Pill Email merged with Origin Email, founded by industry veteran Ryan Phelan, and tapped his decades of B2B and B2C email marketing experience, strategic marketing development, and professional services management.
